Brady "I want a wife" satire response

The thesis is not explicitly stated. It is implied to be that a wife does so much for her husband, and often is not repaid or thanked. She thinks that is ridiculous and unfair to the wife.
To reemphasize her original statement that she wants a wife. And to poke fun at the idea that a wife should be the way she describes.
I believe that Brady knows that that kind of spouse does not exist, and shouldn’t exist. Brady implies through sarcasm that the idea is ludicrous.
Brady defines a wife as someone who lives to serve her husband and make his life easy so he can do whatever. The wife takes on all the responsibilities of marriage and having a family. This idea is unrealistic and dumb. A marriage and family comes with responsibilities that must be shared by both parents. Brady wants readers to realize how ridiculous the idea is, and make sure they don’t think this way.
I admire the direct and forward nature of the piece. I enjoyed the use of sarcasm and satire to make such an effective statement. From the start you begin to see how unfair this would be to any wife. Essentially the wife handles everything and the husband reaps the benefits. It makes you think how you view the role of a wife and it causes you to adjust your views.  The piece does what was intended.
